Daryl's Story
Retired Social Studies Teacher and Baseball Basketball Coach. I coached at Oglethorpe University in 1992 when I assisted in helping restore the baseball program since its last team in 1976. I have also coached several recreation teams and travel baseball teams. I have lived in Lilburn, GA since 07/01/1987, however I will have my house listed for sell by Friday 06/14/2013. I was married for 23.6 years but I have been divorced since 02/19/2011. My son Quentin, lives with me and he will be a Senior at Parkview for the 2013-2014 school year. He plans to attend my Alma Mater, West Georgia College (State University of West Georgia), when he graduates from high school.
I have visited over 40 minor league baseball cities from TN, MS, AL, NC, SC, FL, and GA. I caught a foul ball at Chattanooga, TN, Mobile, AL, and Augusta, GA. I ha...Expand for more
ve spent five days in Key West FL and four days in New Orleans. The rest of my travel has been in and around Nashville, TN, where I watch my cousin's son play on a 10 U Travel baseball team and who plays football in the Fall. Most of my relatives still reside in Tennessee, and it is not out of the question that I might relocate there after my son graduates from high school.
I am in good health at 57 years "young," except for knee surgery to remove my meniscus from my left knee in 2009. I have weighed as much as 240 lbs., but I now am around 200 lbs. I only mention this because in 1974, when I graduated I weighed a whopping 140 lbs! I'm currently on facebook and would always welcome hearing from any and all of my fellow graduates from the 1974 class of Shamrock High School.
I wish all '74 classmates continued success, much happiness, and many more exciting adventures.
All my Best,
Daryl Q. Fleming
